Unite calls for staff ballot on the creation of social enterprises
Unite is stepping up its opposition to the creation of social enterprises without first balloting staff for their opinion.
It has launched a campaign for the health services in Medway ‘to stay in the NHS’, as managers push for the creation of a social enterprise, and it is calling for a ballot of staff at Kingston Primary Care Trust in Surrey over proposals to hive off NHS services into a social enterprise.
