Employers must update staff on pensions choice exercise
Employers have a responsibility to inform staff planning to retire before 1 October 2009 that this would mean they cannot participate in the NHS Pensions Choice exercise, according to NHS Employers.
The NHS Pension Choice exercise is a one-off opportunity for NHS Pension Scheme members in the 1995 section, with its normal pension age of 60, to move to 2008 section, with its normal pension age of 65.
