Stress conference to focus on positive attitude to sickness
The International Stress Management Association (ISMA) is holding its annual conference on Wednesday 24 June and will include a presentation from Professor Dame Carol Black, national director for health and work.
One of the key recommendations of Dame Carol’s 2008 review of the health of Britain’s working age population, the ‘Fit Note’, has been accepted by the Government. The Fit Note will focus on a more positive attitude to sickness by identifying what a patient can do rather than what they cannot do.
