Mileage allowances increased for nurses

The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has won a 10 per cent increase in all Agenda for Change standard and regular mileage allowances for nurses across the United Kingdom, after a year of negotiations.

The uplifts to mileage allowances, effective from 1 July 2008 were agreed by the NHS Staff Council.
