Making redesign reality
Lip service has been paid to new ways of working for many years but now is the time for action.
The NHS has been experimenting with new ways of working for at least the last decade, as it has become progressively more aware – at every level from the grassroots up to the Department of Health – that the traditional default position of commissioning and providing doctor-led services, supported by ward-based nursing, is no longer sufficient to meet current and future healthcare demand....
